Airborne Electro-Magnetic survey between Yusipang to Nabesa to begin today

The Department of Geology and Mines, Ministry of Economic Affairs in collaboration with the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute (NGI) and SkyTem of Denmark will be conducting Airborne Electro-Magnetic (AEM) survey between Yusipang (Thimphu) to Nabesa (Wangdue) as part of feasibility study of the proposed road tunnel between Thimphu and Wangdue.

The survey will begin from December 13 and will last about a week. During this period helicopter carrying the electro-magnetic equipment will be hovering around the area to collect data.
