The Prime Minister Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay was called on by Tomas Dub, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic and delegation at the Gyalyong Tshogkhang this afternoon.
During the meeting, Lyonchhen and the Czech delegation discussed on several areas of shared interests such as power generation through renewable sources of energy like solar and biomass, further development in tourism sector, education and other areas involving business cooperation.
Lyonchhen extended his gratitude to the Czech delegation for their support in areas of disaster management, education and cultural exchanges. Lyonchhen expressed his appreciation for their involvement and requested the Czech Republic to consider playing a bigger role in Bhutan’s development.
Lyonchhen also conveyed that Bhutan welcomes the business delegations from Czech Republic, which he hoped, would contribute significantly in fruitful business partnerships between the two countries.
Meanwhile, Lyonchhen extended his appreciation to the Czech Republic for hosting the exhibition of Czech Castles at the Royal Textile Academy that will be inaugurated on 13 February and also for screening of Czech films at City Cinema as part of the Czech Film Festival during Mr. Dub’s visit.
