Rare Thongdrols were unfurled around the courtyard to bless the occasion. Students from schools in Thimphu performed a song, which was especially written to welcome Shri Modi to Bhutan at the courtyard of the Tashichhodzong before the Luncheon. A Cultural Programme showcased some specially selected traditional dances of Bhutan.

His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo, Their Majesties the Gyalyums, Their Royal Highnesses the Princesses and Princes graced the Luncheon, for which the Prime Minister, Ministers, members of the Opposition, and senior government officials from Bhutan were also invited along with the Indian delegation and guests.

The Luncheon was the final programme in Shri Narendra Modi’s two-day visit to Bhutan.
